Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and supporting models points to an overnight low near 75°F for Austin on September 6, driven by persistent southerly flow, high dew points near 72°F, and limited overnight radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. This setup favors minimum temperatures in the 74–77°F range, aligning with trader emphasis on the 74–75°F and 76–77°F bins. Differentiating factors include subtle variations in cloud cover, wind speed (5–10 mph southeast), and any isolated shower activity that could modestly enhance mixing or suppress cooling. Above the September climatological average low of 70.6°F, the pattern reflects ongoing warm advection without an approaching front, leaving resolution sensitive to the precise timing of any model-updated boundary-layer changes before dawn.
