Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 7, 2026, project a high in the low to mid-90s°F under partly to mostly sunny skies with a 30-40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This consensus from NWS Houston/Galveston and aligned models supports the market's tight clustering around 90-95°F outcomes, where subtle differences in cloud cover, storm timing, or steering winds could shift the peak by a degree or two. High humidity will elevate heat indices above 100°F, but actual maximum temperatures hinge on the extent of afternoon convection and boundary-layer mixing. Updated model runs and NWS briefings in the next 48 hours represent the key data points likely to refine trader positioning ahead of resolution.
