Forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate a high near 92°F for Houston on September 5, with partly sunny skies turning mostly cloudy and a 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. These conditions, driven by high humidity, light easterly winds, and typical late-summer instability, often limit peak temperatures through increased cloud cover and localized cooling from precipitation. Historical September averages hover around 91°F, while recent days have seen highs of 92–97°F under varying storm activity. Trader consensus, with 90–91°F at 47.5% and 92–93°F at 27.5% implied probability, aligns with this model agreement on a low-90s outcome while accounting for uncertainty in storm timing and intensity that could shift the actual maximum by a degree or two. The official high will be determined by National Weather Service observations at primary stations.
