Forecast consensus from multiple models positions a 30–31°C high for Shenzhen on September 6 as the most probable outcome, aligning with the market’s leading implied probabilities of 44.5% for 31°C and 22.5% for 30°C. Subtropical monsoon conditions typical for early September feature daytime highs near 31°C, but widespread cloud cover and moderate to heavy rainfall—forecast to reach several millimeters—will limit solar heating and cap peak temperatures. Current observations on September 5 show partly cloudy skies with temperatures already near 30–32°C, while easterly to northeasterly flow supports onshore moisture. Updated numerical guidance from sources such as the China Meteorological Administration and global ensembles shows minimal spread around this range, with only modest upside risk to 32°C if convection is delayed. Traders appear to weigh these factors heavily, as drier or clearer conditions would be required to push readings notably higher.
