Recent polling shows the Parti Libéral du Québec holding steady provincial support near 20-24 percent, with strength concentrated among anglophone and allophone voters in the Montreal region that aids seat efficiency despite weaker francophone backing. The CAQ's recent gains, partly linked to voter concerns over U.S. trade tensions, have drawn some support away from the Liberals early in the October 5 campaign, while the PQ leads overall. Seat projections from aggregators place the PLQ around 30-38 seats, reflecting competitive riding-level dynamics and limited paths to expansion outside urban strongholds. Trader consensus on the 28-35 seat range aligns with these patterns, as further shifts in francophone preferences or late campaign developments could alter outcomes.
