The Quebec general election on October 5 features a closely contested race where PCQ support has held steady near 13-15% in recent polls, yet seat outcomes remain uncertain due to the first-past-the-post system and regional concentration, particularly around Quebec City. Latest surveys from Synopsis and Léger show PCQ trailing the tightening PQ-CAQ contest, with seat models from 338Canada projecting a median near 11 seats but wide ranges reflecting variable riding-level performance. Trader consensus clusters probabilities on 8-13 seats because modest shifts in francophone voter splits or campaign momentum for leader Éric Duhaime could expand or limit PCQ gains, while broader volatility between the leading parties continues to influence third-party results.
