Laura Gillen, the Democratic incumbent, holds an 83% implied probability in the NY-04 race due to her strong fundraising edge, established name recognition on Long Island, and consistent ratings from forecasters such as Cook Political Report and Decision Desk HQ that classify the seat as Lean or Likely Democratic. Jeanine Driscoll, the Republican nominee following the June 2026 primaries, trails at 15% amid limited shifts in the district's underlying partisan composition. With the general election set for November 3, no major developments since the primaries have altered the balance, leaving trader consensus anchored on incumbency advantages and historical voting patterns in the district.
