Georgia's 10th congressional district heads into the November 3 general election with Republican Houston Gaines and Democrat Pamela DeLancy as the nominees after both secured outright majorities above 50 percent in their May 19 partisan primaries. Georgia law mandates a runoff on December 1 if no candidate reaches a majority in the first round. With only two major-party candidates on the ballot, traders appear to price in the possibility of a fragmented vote or unusually high third-party support preventing an outright result. Recent primary consolidation and the district's partisan lean provide limited signals on general-election turnout dynamics that could still trigger a runoff.
