Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Seattle points to overnight lows in the low to mid-50s on September 5, aligning with the 1991–2020 climatological average of roughly 54.8°F. Persistent marine influence, light onshore flow, and a stable airmass following recent showers have kept recent minima near 53°F, with no strong cold-air advection or clear-sky radiative cooling expected in the next 48 hours. This baseline supports the market’s elevated implied probability on the 45°F-or-below bucket while still leaving room for modest upward revisions if models trend warmer. Traders appear to be weighting forecast uncertainty and typical early-September variability more heavily than the current consensus outlook.
