Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecast models for New York City on September 3 indicate persistent humid, overcast conditions with southwest winds limiting nocturnal radiative cooling, supporting an overnight low near 68–69°F at official stations such as Central Park. This aligns with observed morning temperatures around 70°F and the absence of strong cold-air advection, consistent with late-summer climatology modified by current atmospheric moisture. Trader consensus at 93.5% implied probability reflects high model agreement on these thresholds, though unexpected clearing or heavier rainfall could allow additional cooling toward 66–67°F before dawn. Upcoming hourly observations through midnight will refine the final minimum.
