Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate sunny conditions with light easterly winds and minimal cloud cover will drive strong daytime heating across the Houston area on September 19, supporting a high near 94–96°F at primary reporting stations. This aligns with the market’s heavy weighting toward 92–93°F and 90–91°F outcomes, as traders incorporate ensemble consensus and historical verification biases at official sites. September 2026 has featured above-average warmth with frequent mid-90s readings and limited precipitation, keeping temperatures elevated relative to the 1991–2020 average high of 88.7°F for the date. Updated forecast discussions and any late adjustments to maximum temperature guidance represent the key near-term catalysts that could shift implied probabilities before resolution.
