Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus project highs of 97–100°F for Austin on September 20, supporting the market's tight clustering around 96–99°F outcomes. Persistent upper-level ridging and southerly flow maintain hot, mostly dry conditions with limited cloud cover and minimal precipitation risk, though minor differences in afternoon mixing, exact wind speeds, or model bias on boundary-layer moisture could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 90°F underscore the anomalously warm pattern. Updated NWS guidance and evening model runs on September 19 will provide the next key inputs for traders.
