**Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies indicate a high near 96–97°F for Atlanta on September 18 under sunny skies, light northwest winds, and low precipitation chances early in the day.** This setup favors strong daytime heating with heat indices reaching 100–101°F, though a slight afternoon thunderstorm risk could cap the peak slightly lower in some scenarios. Recent observations show morning temperatures starting in the upper 60s to low 70s with clear conditions, aligning with climatological norms for mid-September but trending warmer than the 1991–2020 average high of 83°F. Trader consensus, reflected in the 63.5% implied probability for 94–95°F and 22% for 96–97°F, captures the narrow range of official guidance and model consensus, with lower-probability bins accounting for potential revisions from updated runs or localized convective cooling.
