Forecast consensus from multiple models points to a daytime high of 99–100°F in Austin on August 31 under partly to mostly sunny skies, light southerly winds, and negligible precipitation risk, positioning the 98–99°F and 100–101°F bins as the clear market leaders. Late-August climatology in central Texas features average highs near 95°F, but persistent ridging and above-normal soil moisture from prior weeks have sustained elevated temperatures, with recent observations around 100°F. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble runs show limited spread, though minor cloud cover or boundary-layer mixing could trim the peak by 1–2°F. The market-implied odds reflect this tight range of outcomes ahead of the final 24-hour verification period.
