Incumbent Democrat Morgan McGarvey holds a commanding position in Kentucky's 3rd congressional district, a Louisville-centered seat that has favored Democratic candidates by double-digit margins in recent cycles. McGarvey secured the Democratic nomination without opposition after the May 2026 primary, while Republican nominee Maria Teresa Rodriguez emerged from a fragmented field. The district's voter composition, combined with McGarvey's prior 61.9% general election performance in 2024, underpins trader consensus reflected in the 94.5% Democratic probability. A late national partisan shift, significant campaign funding disparity reversal, or unexpected personal or legal development involving the incumbent represent the primary scenarios that could narrow the margin or alter the outcome before November 3.
