Mary Peltola’s strong fundraising performance and proven appeal under Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system have kept her narrowly ahead of incumbent Dan Sullivan in recent polling averages, producing the current near-even trader consensus. Sullivan’s incumbency advantages and the state’s underlying Republican lean continue to anchor his support, while the August 18 top-four primary and limited separation in voter surveys have prevented either candidate from pulling away. Late primary results, additional campaign finance reports, major endorsements, or shifts in turnout among key voting blocs could quickly alter the balance ahead of the November general election.
