In Georgia’s 4th congressional district, a safely Democratic seat with a long record of large margins for the incumbent party, trader consensus at 92% for an outright general-election winner on November 3, 2026, reflects the district’s structural tilt and limited competition. Incumbent Hank Johnson secured the Democratic nomination with roughly 79% in the May 19 primary against two challengers, while Republican nominee James Duffie advanced essentially unopposed. No subsequent developments—such as candidate withdrawals, major scandals, or polling shifts—have altered the expected wide margin that would avoid a runoff under Georgia’s majority requirement. With the general-election matchup set well in advance of the resolution window and historical turnout patterns favoring the Democratic nominee by double digits, market pricing treats an outright result as the baseline outcome.
