The Parti Québécois holds a clear lead in recent Quebec polling aggregates and seat projections ahead of the October 5 election, driven by strong francophone support and gains from multiple by-elections since 2022, positioning it as the consensus favorite to win the most seats in the National Assembly. The CAQ under new Premier Christine Fréchette has narrowed the gap in late-August surveys through regional strength outside Montreal, though it trails significantly after years of declining popularity. The PLQ under Charles Milliard has lost ground amid leadership transitions, while smaller parties like the PCQ and QS remain marginal in most projections. High levels of undecided voters and tight PQ-CAQ contests in key ridings introduce uncertainty that could still shift outcomes before election day.
