Recent National Weather Service and NOAA forecasts for Atlanta indicate a high of 96°F on September 6, with mid-90s readings under sunny skies and only a 20% afternoon storm chance, aligning with the market's leading 96-97°F outcome. Persistent heat from early September—when daily highs reached 94–96°F—combined with light northerly winds and heat indices near 103°F supports this range over cooler alternatives. Model consensus shows minimal deviation, though any unexpected convective cooling or forecast revision could shift probabilities. Historical context places the September 6 average high at 85.8°F, with a record of 97°F, underscoring how current conditions favor the upper end of typical late-summer warmth. Updated model runs and morning observations remain key near-term catalysts.
