Recent National Weather Service and local model guidance points to a Monday high near 89°F in Denver amid scattered thunderstorms, driven by a passing shortwave trough increasing atmospheric instability and moisture. This setup favors afternoon cloud cover and convective cooling that caps peak temperatures below recent readings of 92–93°F, while steering flow from the southwest limits extreme warming. Historical September climatology shows typical highs around 82°F, making the current warm anomaly notable but moderated by storm timing. Trader consensus clusters on 88–93°F ranges as models converge on these thresholds, with resolution hinging on official Denver International Airport observations and any last-minute forecast shifts from updated runs.
