Incumbent Republican Eric Burlison secured the party's nomination in the August 4 primary with nearly 74 percent of the vote, advancing to the November 3 general election against Democrat Missi Hesketh and Libertarian Kevin Craig. The district's strong Republican partisan lean, reflected in consistent double-digit margins in prior cycles, underpins trader consensus for a GOP hold. Missouri's congressional map and voter patterns in the southwest region further limit Democratic prospects. A commanding lead could face pressure from an unforeseen scandal, significant health event, or late national political shift, though structural advantages and recent primary performance keep the implied probability elevated.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
