Forecasts from NOAA and other models point to a mild overnight period into September 17, with lows expected near 69–72°F under mostly cloudy skies, southerly flow around 5–10 mph, and limited radiational cooling. This pattern, following recent days with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s and lows in the upper 50s to mid-60s, supports trader emphasis on the 70–71°F and 72–73°F bins as the most probable minimums for the day. Persistent warmth from a southerly air mass and cloud cover reduce the chance of sharper drops below 68°F, while historical September averages near 61°F appear unlikely given current conditions. Official Central Park observations will determine the exact low by midnight.
