Current forecast models from the National Weather Service and global ensembles indicate an overnight low of 70–71°F for New York City on September 13, driven by persistent humidity, cloud cover, and scattered thunderstorms that limit radiational cooling. Surface observations through midday show dew points near 70°F and minimal temperature drop after sunset, aligning with climatological norms for mid-September under similar synoptic patterns. This supports the market-implied odds exceeding 97% for the 70–71°F bin. A rapid clearing of skies or stronger northwest winds could enhance cooling and push the low into the upper 60s, though model consensus shows low probability of such shifts before midnight.
