Democratic challenger JoAnna Mendoza holds a polling edge over Republican incumbent Juan Ciscomani in Arizona’s 6th congressional district ahead of the November 3 general election. Multiple surveys from spring and early summer 2026, including a June Normington Petts poll, showed Mendoza ahead by 2–3 points in head-to-head matchups, with her lead expanding after voters received balanced candidate information. The competitive district features a Cook Partisan Voting Index of even and race ratings ranging from toss-up to lean Democratic. Both candidates advanced unopposed through July 21 primaries, with Mendoza demonstrating strong fundraising and Ciscomani facing unfavorable job-approval ratings near 29 percent favorable. These factors, combined with the district’s recent narrow margins, underpin trader consensus favoring the Democratic outcome while leaving room for shifts from late advertising, turnout, or additional polling.
