Incumbent Republican Mike Rogers, chair of the House Armed Services Committee with more than two decades in office, secured his party's nomination in the May 19, 2026 primary by a wide margin and faces Democrat Lee McInnis in the November 3 general election. The district's R+23 Partisan Voter Index, consistent strong Republican performance in recent presidential and House contests, and Rogers' substantial fundraising edge have produced trader consensus near 95 percent for a Republican hold. All major forecasters rate the seat Solid or Safe Republican. Late developments capable of narrowing the gap include a significant personal or ethical scandal involving the incumbent, unforeseen health developments, or a court-ordered map change that meaningfully alters the district's composition before Election Day.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
