Latest National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance for Atlanta indicate overnight lows of 72–73°F on August 31 under continued warm, moist southerly flow, light variable winds, and partly cloudy skies that limit radiative cooling. High dew points near 70°F and the absence of a significant frontal passage or drier air mass keep temperatures elevated above the late-August climatological average of roughly 69–71°F. Market-implied odds cluster tightly around 70–75°F because recent ensemble runs show only modest day-to-day variability and minimal risk of stronger cooling or anomalous warmth, with resolution hinging on the precise minimum recorded at official observing sites.
