**Trader consensus at 100% for a 94-95°F high on August 29, 2026, aligns with official NOAA observations at key Houston stations under clear to mostly sunny skies, light southerly winds, and a dominant high-pressure ridge typical of late-summer Gulf Coast conditions.** This setup maximized solar insolation during peak daylight hours while limiting cloud cover and convective cooling, producing temperatures near or slightly above the 1991-2020 normal high of ~94°F amid elevated humidity that supported heat-index values well above 100°F. Model consensus and NWS forecasts had consistently projected upper-90s readings with minimal precipitation interference. Realistic challenges would require substantial afternoon cloud build-up or scattered storms enhancing evaporative cooling, stronger winds mixing the boundary layer, or a last-minute frontal passage—none of which materialized based on verified station data.
