In Georgia's 10th congressional district, the May 19, 2026, primaries produced clear majorities for both party nominees, driving the elevated trader consensus around an outright first-round winner. Houston Gaines secured the Republican nomination with roughly 67 percent, well above the 50 percent threshold that avoids a runoff under state rules, while Pamela DeLancy took the Democratic primary with about 54 percent. These results followed the departure of incumbent Mike Collins for a Senate bid and reflected limited field sizes plus consolidated support in a safely Republican-leaning district. With nominees set for the November general election and no procedural challenges or recounts reported, the outcome aligns with historical patterns in low-competition open seats where primaries frequently conclude without advancing to a second round.
