**Incumbent Andrew Clyde secured a clear majority in the Republican primary for Georgia’s 9th congressional district on May 19, 2026, winning roughly 76% of the vote against challengers Sam Couvillon and Gregg Poole.** This outcome directly supports the 91% implied probability on “Yes” for an outright first-round winner, as Georgia primaries advance the top two candidates to a runoff only if no one reaches 50%. Clyde’s dominant performance eliminated any realistic path to a June 16 runoff. The district’s strong Republican tilt and the absence of competitive Democratic primary dynamics further reinforce trader consensus that the general election in November will feature the already-nominated incumbent. No subsequent developments have altered the primary result, keeping the market pricing aligned with the verified vote totals.
