Recent forecasts from Environment Canada and numerical models indicated overnight lows near 16–17°C for Toronto on September 4, driven by moderate northwesterly flow, partial cloud cover limiting radiational cooling, and dew points around 13–15°C that capped further temperature drops. The near-even market split between 17°C and 16°C reflects minor discrepancies across model runs and station-specific observations, such as at Pearson Airport versus downtown sites, where urban heat islands or slight wind variations can shift the minimum by 1°C. Historical September averages near 15.7°C provide context, but current conditions aligned closely with the upper end of the expected range. Official daily minimum data from the primary reporting station will resolve the market once verified.
