Official National Weather Service observations from Chicago O’Hare confirm a daily maximum of exactly 81°F on August 29, 2026, reached in the mid-afternoon under partly sunny skies with light southwesterly flow. This value matched the 1991–2020 climatological normal and aligned with pre-event model consensus that kept temperatures well below seasonal extremes. With the date now concluded and verified station data in hand, trader consensus has consolidated at 100% on the 80–81°F bin. Only a post-hoc revision to the official record or a shift in the market’s precise measurement protocol could alter the resolution, both of which remain highly improbable given the stability of the reported observation.
