This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 6 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the seventh day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. This market will resolve once data for this date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the seventh day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Current forecasts from sources like the Hong Kong Observatory-aligned models and WeatherBug indicate overnight lows near 24–25°C for September 6, 2026, with daytime highs around 27–29°C amid partly cloudy skies and a 50–60% chance of thunderstorms.** Light northerly to easterly winds and high humidity (near 80–90%) support modest radiative cooling overnight, consistent with early-September climatology where the 1991–2020 normal daily minimum is approximately 24.6°C. Trader positioning favoring 26–27°C as the most likely daily minimum reflects recent observational data showing persistent warmth (overnight readings holding near 27°C on September 5) and model consensus that any cooling from showers will be limited rather than pronounced. Higher outcomes (28°C+) carry lower implied probability because ongoing moisture and cloud cover reduce the chance of stronger nighttime drops, while sub-25°C scenarios remain possible only if clearer skies develop or a brief northerly surge arrives—neither of which is strongly signaled in the latest runs. Upcoming Hong Kong Observatory forecast updates and real-time temperature observations on September 6 will provide the decisive data for market resolution.
