Recent forecasts from NOAA and private models project a high of 95–97°F in Atlanta on September 6, driven by strong high pressure, mostly sunny skies, light northwest winds, and above-normal temperatures persisting from early September. Afternoon humidity near 45% and a 20% thunderstorm chance could slightly limit peak heating if convection develops early, yet current guidance favors the upper end of the mid-90s range. This aligns with recent daily highs of 94–96°F and places the 96–97°F bin at the center of market-implied probabilities, with modest probability assigned to 98–99°F if conditions remain drier and sunnier than expected. Historical September averages near 86°F underscore the anomalous warmth supporting trader consensus.
