The October 9–10, 2026 municipal elections in Brno feature an open mayoral race after incumbent Markéta Vaňková stepped aside for health reasons. Kamila Zlatušková leads trader pricing at 47.5% as the independent head of the ODS-TOP 09 ticket, while Václav Trojan (ANO) sits at 40.5% and a crowded field of other coalition leaders—including Jakub Hruška (KDU-ČSL/STAN), Natálie Vencovská (Zelené Brno), Tomáš Kratochvíl (Motorists), Adam Zemek, Michal Sedláček, and Klára Liptáková—cluster in the low-to-mid 20s. Recent finalization of candidate lists and coalition agreements has kept probabilities tight, as no single party or bloc has established a clear advantage in local polling or visibility. Upcoming campaign events and any late shifts in turnout or preference among swing voters in the city’s districts could still widen gaps before election day.
