Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a daily minimum temperature in Austin near 72–73°F on September 5, driving the 91% market-implied probability for that bin. Persistent southerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and dew points in the low-to-mid 70s are limiting radiative cooling overnight while preventing significant cold advection, consistent with late-summer climatology where average lows hover around 71°F. Official observations from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will resolve the market once the calendar day ends. A stronger-than-expected nocturnal breeze or increased cloud cover could push readings a degree or two lower, while clearer skies and lighter winds might hold the minimum in the mid-70s and shift probability toward adjacent outcomes.
