This consensus from official model guidance and early observations drives the market’s heaviest positioning on 74–75°F at 47% implied probability, with 72–73°F close behind. Northerly flow and modest dew points have kept morning temperatures in the upper 60s, consistent with cooler-than-average September conditions relative to the 1991–2020 high of 77°F. Updated short-range runs and any late-day clearing remain key variables that could shift the exact maximum within the narrow 72–76°F band favored by traders.
