Recent polling averages show the Parti Québécois maintaining a steady lead near 29 percent, ahead of the CAQ at 24 percent and the PLQ at 20 percent, with support concentrated among francophone voters that favors stronger seat outcomes under Quebec’s electoral map. The election was called for October 5 after Premier Christine Fréchette dissolved the National Assembly on August 27, and voting intentions have remained largely stable through early September despite regional variations, including PCQ strength in the Quebec City area. Aggregators such as 338Canada currently assign the PQ an 88 percent probability of securing the most seats, aligning with market pricing that treats a PQ plurality or minority government as the consensus outcome while assigning limited chances to other parties. Key campaign factors include leadership transitions, cost-of-living concerns, and the PQ’s timeline for any sovereignty referendum.
