Democratic candidate Bob Brooks holds a polling edge in Pennsylvania’s competitive 7th District, where a late-June survey showed him leading Republican incumbent Ryan Mackenzie by four points in a narrow-margin seat that Donald Trump carried by less than one point in 2024. Brooks secured the Democratic nomination in the May primary as a firefighter and union leader with strong labor backing and endorsements from party figures, while Mackenzie seeks a second term in a district rated toss-up or lean Democratic by forecasters. Traders reflect this positioning through elevated Democratic implied probabilities, consistent with midterm patterns where opposition parties often target recently flipped House seats amid limited additional polling data.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
