Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and major models points to a sunny, hot day across central Texas with light south-southeasterly winds and minimal cloud cover, favoring a daily maximum near 98–100 °F at Austin stations. This range sits above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 94.6 °F yet well below the 106 °F record, reflecting typical late-August ridge persistence without significant moisture return or frontal passage. Model runs show tight agreement on peak temperatures, with only minor spread from local urban heat-island effects or slight timing of maximum heating. Trader weighting on the 98–99 °F and 100–101 °F bins therefore tracks the latest official guidance and expected observational outcome under current atmospheric conditions.
