Recent National Weather Service and GFS model consensus for Dallas indicates overnight lows near 80–83 °F on September 1, driven by persistent southerly flow, high dew points, and minimal cloud cover that limit radiational cooling under a strong subtropical ridge. This setup keeps surface temperatures well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 74.7 °F, with little evidence of an approaching cold front or enhanced mixing that could produce sharper drops into the mid-70s. Trader probabilities cluster tightly around the 80–83 °F bins because short-range model runs show only modest spread in boundary-layer conditions, while longer-range uncertainty and potential minor timing shifts in any weak disturbance keep lower-probability tails active. Updated NWS point forecasts and evening model cycles through August 31 will refine the final range ahead of resolution.
