Clear skies and light winds overnight are the main drivers behind Cape Town's market-implied odds for September 6 minimum temperatures, with forecasts from multiple models pointing to 12–15 °C under high pressure. Radiative cooling in the absence of cloud cover or strong advection from the Benguela Current will determine how low readings fall at official stations, while typical spring variability and slight differences between coastal and inland sites create the spread traders are pricing. Ensemble guidance shows limited downside risk below 11 °C but keeps 13–14 °C as plausible central outcomes, with resolution hinging on the precise 24-hour minimum recorded by the South African Weather Service.
