Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies indicate a high near 94–96°F for Austin on September 6, driven by typical late-summer southerly flow, abundant moisture, and afternoon heating that supports modest convection. This positions 94–95°F as the market leader at 40.5%, with 92–93°F and 96–97°F close behind, reflecting slight model spread on whether scattered thunderstorms develop enough to cap the peak. Heat indices near 105°F underscore ongoing warmth, though the historical average high of 93°F and recent upper-90s readings show conditions remain near seasonal norms without extreme setup. Final verification rests on official observations, with any late-day storm timing introducing the main uncertainty for resolution.
