Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus for Chicago O’Hare indicate a high near 90–92°F on September 1, driven by a persistent warm, humid southerly flow and elevated heat indices ahead of a modest frontal passage. This places the most likely daily maximum squarely in the 90–91°F bin that currently leads market-implied odds at 42.5 percent, with 88–89°F and 92–93°F as the next most probable outcomes. The expected values sit well above the 1991–2020 climatological average of roughly 81°F, reflecting the lingering late-summer ridge and above-normal temperatures projected by the Climate Prediction Center for early September. With resolution imminent, traders are weighting the latest deterministic and ensemble guidance most heavily while monitoring any final model runs for shifts in the thermal ridge or convective timing.
