Forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate Miami will reach a daily maximum near 88°F under partly sunny skies with a 60% chance of afternoon thunderstorms, which typically cap temperatures through evaporative cooling and cloud cover. High humidity keeps heat indices above 100°F, but steering easterly flow and typical late-August instability favor scattered convection peaking midday to afternoon, preventing a push into the mid-90s. Historical averages near 90°F and recent model consensus support the market’s emphasis on the 90-91°F bin as the most probable outcome, with lower bins reflecting storm timing risks and higher ones requiring clearer, drier conditions that current guidance does not support. Updated NHC and local briefings through the afternoon will refine exact peak readings.
