Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance positions 104-105°F as the leading outcome for Austin’s August 24 high, reflecting a strong high-pressure ridge and southerly flow that favors continued heat with limited cloud cover or moisture. Consensus forecasts from AccuWeather and timeanddate show afternoon maxima near 104°F under mostly sunny skies, consistent with August climatology that routinely produces upper-90s to low-100s readings but with this episode running slightly above normal. Minor model spread and potential for slight timing shifts in any weak frontal boundary introduce the secondary probability mass at 102-103°F, while warmer outliers remain low-probability absent unexpected ridging intensification. Updated model runs and official NWS briefings tomorrow morning will provide the final data traders are weighting.
