This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Prime Minister of Serbia by June 30, 2028, 11:59 PM ET. To count for resolution, the individual must be elected by the National Assembly and be formally sworn-in, resulting in the official formation of a new government. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister who is not elected by the National Assembly will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by June 30, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official information from the Serbian government.Aleksandar Vučić's nomination as the Serbian Progressive Party candidate for prime minister in the October 25 snap parliamentary election underpins his narrow lead in the market, following his planned resignation from the presidency to enable the bid. Sustained student-led protests since the November 2024 Novi Sad railway station collapse have fueled opposition momentum, with the "Students Win" list emerging as the primary challenger and drawing support from multiple parties. The ruling coalition's long dominance since 2012 and control of institutions keep Vučić positioned ahead, yet the polarized environment, recent dissolution of parliament, and competitive polling between the SNS-led list and the student movement sustain close probabilities across contenders. Upcoming vote results will determine whether the implied trader consensus holds or shifts based on turnout and coalition outcomes.
