Recent polling shows a tight four-way contest for the top spots in Berlin’s September 20 Abgeordnetenhaus election, with CDU, Linke, AfD, and Grüne separated by just a few points in the latest surveys from Infratest dimap, INSA, Civey, and Forsa. This volatility keeps probabilities for third place distributed among AfD, Linke, CDU, and Grüne, as small shifts in turnout or late swings could reorder the ranking. Linke gains under Elif Eralp and AfD advances have narrowed the CDU’s earlier lead, while SPD remains well behind. The final weeks of campaigning, including debates and mobilization of newly enfranchised 16-year-olds, will determine which party lands third and how coalition arithmetic shapes afterward.
