Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston on September 2 points to overnight lows in the mid-70s, with most forecasts clustering near 76–81°F amid high humidity and scattered showers. Persistent moisture from a weak Gulf low-pressure system limits radiative cooling overnight, while southerly flow and cloud cover prevent sharper drops typical of drier conditions. Historical September climatology for the region averages lows near 74°F, but current steering patterns and dew points above 70°F support the market’s emphasis on 74–75°F outcomes. Updated model runs and NHC monitoring of the disturbance will refine these probabilities ahead of resolution.
