Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate sunny conditions with southwest winds around 15 mph and a modest offshore flow component on September 2, supporting afternoon highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s across Los Angeles stations. This range aligns with historical September averages near 77°F yet reflects trader focus on marine-layer moderation versus slight warming from northerly winds, keeping the 74–79°F bins dominant. Model consensus shows limited spread due to stable high pressure, though small shifts in boundary-layer moisture or wind timing could nudge readings across the tightly clustered 76–79°F thresholds that hold the bulk of implied probability. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations on September 1–2 remain the key near-term catalysts.
