Incumbent Republican Mario Díaz-Balart faces Democrat Nicole Locklin in Florida’s 26th congressional district for the November 2026 general election, with primaries set for August 18. The seat carries a Cook Partisan Voting Index of R+7 and was rated Solid Republican following 2025 redistricting that preserved a Trump-era margin of roughly 18 points despite shifts in Miami-Dade and Broward areas. Díaz-Balart, the longest-serving current Florida member, benefits from strong name recognition, seniority on appropriations, and unopposed primary status, while Locklin’s campaign has drawn limited early visibility or fundraising momentum. These structural advantages underpin the current trader consensus favoring the Republican nominee at 84.5 percent.
